CIGARE ROUGE is a legendary Open 60, having been sailed by Dame Ellen McArthur. She was refitted this year (2009) and is in a great state and very well equipped. It is a rare opportunity that such a delightful yacht is on the market and this is not an opportunity to be missed. She was built for the 1992 Vendée Globe. The yacht for Karen Leibovici called “Sofap-Helvim” then became “Algimouss” belonging to Jean-Luc Van Den Heede. She took part in Vendée Globe (1992 - 2nd) , the BOC Challenge (1994 – 95 coming 2nd) , Route du Rhum (1998 - 2nd) She has been around the world 5 times proving how well built she is and reflecting on the skill of CDK Technologies. 1992-93 : second with Jean-Luc Van Den Heede on GROUPE SOFAP HELVIM 1996 - 97 : sixth with Catherine Chabaud on WHIRLPOOL 2000 - 01 : tenth with Joe Seeten on CHOCOLATS DU MONDE 2004 - 05 : thirteenth with Karen Leibovici on BENEFIC
